Maybe considering the 6MT but I really like the DCT. Plenty of hard tops used but I need a CPO so I can take advantage of the graduation incentive. Its crazy to me that a 435 is more expensive than a CPO m3
Go for MT - I got the DCT... You'll thank me.

Really? I found the DCT a lot of fun on the down shifts. I'm also concerned about the resale value of the MT I plan on trading the car in once the M4 arrives or maybe a year later.

It's a lot more fun when you downshift yourself... Also, if you are really planning on getting an M4, just wait a few months, buy a used E92, or just take over a lease ending in a year... Lot's of options...

Performance wise it's borderline a 335? No M3, but it's got some zip for a hybrid ...

Not really... and a mildly tuned 335 would make the AH3 look like a Prius! Zip for a hybrid - yes, no doubt, but your comparison base is a little uninspiring don't you think?

A stock AH3 smokes a 335. Might want to read about it a little more.

Ever think that a tuned hybrid would smoke a M3. Base of 306hp plus Eco boost of 55hp. So 361 add Burger tune of which is available and the Down pipe your pushing high 400's. so the looking like a Prius is about stupid. The 335 with same tunes will always be 55hp light. (Or 40hp as stated by BMW).

I was NOT comparing a M3 to a Hybrid. If the new Body M's would of been available at time of purchase I probably would of went in that direction.

I'll believe this kind of brochure racing when I see it either on a dyno or 1/4 mile time. I've driven a Model S Performance at WOT, so I'm well aware of the capabilities of an electric motor. But until someone actually demonstrates this type of performance in the wild, I have no reason to believe that a AH3 will be close to a 335i once tuning options are explored, let alone an M3.

I spoke with Terry @ BMS about the Tunes. The same stages that are available for the 335 will work in the AH3. It's the same engine. Just think that everyone is afraid to do it with risk to the electric motor. What I don't understand is why anyone would think the 335 is a faster car than the AH3. Its NOT....

So buy the tune and take it to the strip/dyno. Simple as that to refute all these naysayers

I have waiting for info from Germany from the engineers on why the MPPK can't be installed. I want to know what kind of errors that would create before I have a unwarranted company tune my car. For what Dinan charges its a waste of money. But I do intend on doing something to tide me over until the M4 is available.

It's the fastest 3 series ever made. Not to include an M3.

This is why we can't have nice things. People who buy new cars making poor choices for bad reasons. Decreasing demand makes it less likely we'll even have the stick option in the future. See: the horrible lack of diversity in color choices we get.

Do you have a reason for thinking the resale of the MT will be lower? If anything, I bet it'll be higher, particularly on an M3. I'm constantly amazed how frequently "resale" is trotted out as a reason for choosing boring options on the F30 forum.

I would have bought a used E9x M3 and saved $20 or $30k. That's a lot of money to me.

Don't get me wrong man, I'm not hating on the AH3 - it's a nice car, and you get a nice package for your buck. That being said, put a 335, an AH3, and an M3 on the dyno, and you will see three distinct marks! The AH3 is not a sporty car in any real way... Not good or bad, just very different than the M considered...

You need to look at my car pic and tell me it's not a sporty. I've gotten more compliments on this car than any other car I've ever owned. There are pics of it on here. Have a hard time posting from pics from iPad. Look at the pics after it was modded.
