Fight it. If they value you, they will give it to you.
My dealership lost money to give it to me. BMW basically refused to give me $1000, the dealer ended up giving me the money off the price of the car. |

Strange. But I'm sure there's no shortage of BMW dealers in NY. Cancel your order and buy from somebody else.
I suspect when you call to cancel your order they'll suddenly be willing to give you the full $1000 discount. |

+1, unless you are getting a healthy amount off MSRP. This dealership should have just ate the cost, kinda embarrassing on their part.

Okay so I had a similar thing happen to me at the same dealership last thursday. Prior to picking up my recently delivered car, I was told that because I did the un4gettable event under my name and I was not the lease holder that they could not honor the coupon without me being added on as a co-applicant. I was upset but I had to do it in order to pick up my car and not forfeit a $30/mo. discount.
But with the exception that I did do the drive event there. I would suggest you call other dealers to confirm that this is the case, but it does of course vary on their participation. |

Run,
That dealership is the worst i have ever seen. I had a fender bender a while back. They kept the car for over a week, lied to me about what the damage was, SA emailed me stating tie rods were bent, which turned out to be complete nonsence. They lied about scheduling time for insurance adjuster to come. I called insurance , and they never heard from them, there was no appoitment. Just wasted 10 days of time while i was paying for a rental. I showed up the day i found out about it and just took my car back. These guys are complete a-holes. I would try JMK in NJ first. I have also bought from Circle BMW and Paul Miller and they seemed to be ok. |

Update: Called BMW NA and they called the Sales Manager of the dealership. BMW said the $1000 is 100% usable. Dealership said they already applied the $1000 credit into monthly. So what was the Email all about? So this pretty left me with no choice but accept the offer. |

Life Quality is by far the worst dealership in NYC, their service deptarment sucks and has done more damage to my last e90 than anything else in 6 years of ownership. side swiped my rear quarter and bumper, had someone "key" a thick 12 inch line on my trunk with what appeared to be a screw driver, and overtorqued head bolts causing an oil leak from the gasket, all on separate occasions.

The sales manager at that dealership is pretty reasonable. My CA was also pretty diligent as far as meeting my price and keeping up communication for all the steps of the delivery and order. I think they get a bad rep cause people compare them to other dealers who do business on a larger scale, I've seen better and I've seen worse. In the end I think its just the way these car dealerships do business, I got hassled an equal amount at Sovereign Mercedes about simple warranty repairs.
But with that being said, I have heard horror stories about their service dept so I definitely dont intend on going there for my service even though I got the car there. |

I've gotten similar emails from dealerships in the past. Why is the back end bullshit between dealerships and BMW my problem? I'd tell them to choke themselves and get your car elsewhere.

Make sure they applied the whole $1000 into deal AFTER their quoted amount of the sales price. Dealerships are great at saying they included incentives into the cost of the car, when In actuality they just took the incentive towards their profit and raised the sales price of the car. The price/monthly should be negotiated first, then the incentive added in to give you final price or montly, etc.

Come to BMW of Bayside. They matched the TrueCar price for me, which was even below invoice. The Sales guy (Joe C) has been great, even though I've been a PITA and changed the order twice already. Both Sales managers came to see me, explained everything, and told me to call them with any questions or problems, and the whole thing has been totally painless so far. Hope it continues when the car finally gets built and arrives.
PS: Don't know if it matters, but I did buy my 540 from them back in 07 and have used them for service on all 3 of my previous Bimmers. |

That is unacceptable I recently pick up a 2014 335i and one of the dealer didn't honor the credit so I went to a different dealer for the deal.
