Damn it don't know what I was smoking, it's Friday September 12th, 2014...Not 14th.

Bump. Looks like only 1 F30 signed up so far. There'll be more instructors driving F30s than students. Sergio is going to be disappointed.

How is it 325 for a 1 day event? I get that everyone should have CCA membership, but that's just crazy...
I ran at mid-ohio for a 2-day driving school for 400 (ACNA), 300 for 2-day school at grattan (ACNA), 350 for 2-day school (BMWCCA) at gingerman, 200 for 1-day school at waterford hills (BMWCCA).... |

I'll give you three good reasons.
1) Auto Club Speedway cost $16,500 a day to rent. 2) Auto Club Speedway cost $16,500 a day to rent. 3) Auto Club Speedway cost $16,500 a day to rent. YOU think $325 a day is unreasonable? Try this math on for size. Liability insurance, which the track requires, cost $1,200. Professional corner workers cost $900 for the day. Lunch and water for the participants cost $1,000. That's $19,600 just for the BASICS. I have to have 60+ participants at $325 just to break even. The average attendance last 3 years? 62. I suppose I can continue to bleed the chapter dry and run at a $5,000-$8,000 loss every event, but I have a feeling they would eventually stop writing the checks. But take your average 2 day DE for example. Let's conservatively call lodging for $140. Gas to and from the track another $100. Lunch both days for another $30. All of a sudden your average per day cost creeps up to $300 a day. ACS is within 30 minutes to most of LA, 1.5 hours for Orange County, 2.5 hours for Norhh San Diego. Easily within the realm of driving up and back on the same day. Garage with air and power is part of our rental agreement. Still think it's unreasonable for us to charge $325 per day?
