I normally drive a pre-LCI Estoril Blue F30, but recently they gave me a new F32 as a loaner, in the very same color. I was surprised at how much they changed inside. So, I couldn't help it, I needed to do a mini photo shoot!

Can someone explain to me the F numbers and why not just refer to the car as GC, coupe, etc?

It's the generation. The previous 3 series sedan was the E90. The current is the F30 and if it's a coupe F31 or 32 or something like that, etc.

The LCI also has a new motor replacing the N55 (B58), and in 2017 the N20 was replaced with the B48. The sport + mode is more aggressive with the B58 than before, rather than just dialing back traction control.
