Is it still possible to change engine sound on ASD with the latest PSDZ data?

Hi Guys

I retrofitted a ASD module into my 2012 F30 335i. I assume that the module came from a F8x M3/M4, because the active sound only works when it is set as a F80 with S55 engine in the CAFD. The moment I change the model or engine to anything else (including F30 N55 to suit my car), the ASD switches off.

There seems to be conflicting threads on being able to change engine sound. Has anyone tried to change theirs on a fairly recent PSDZ data with success? Can you point me in the right direction?

I am using version 17-03-505.

Thanks

New firmware does not allow modifying sound. Only option is on or off.

Thanks

How does the module know what car sound it should allow? For example, I flashed my module using my car (335i) FA, so how does it still know that it is a M4 module?
