So I recently got rear ended by a speeder in a parking lot. So to make a bad situation Jane a happy ending when I learned that my muffler was going to be replaced. I had them replace the stock exhaust with the M Sport. It was $160 out of pocket to upgrade. I'm real happy with the sound. Not obnoxious to hear like some others I've heard. Anyway I got the BMW dealer to paint the reflectors for free also. Overall my baby is back and I'm happy she's fixed.

New video taken this morning. M Performance exhaust after a few thousand km's to be in properly. Cold start with a moderate take-off down the street.

thinking about having this added onto my build...dealer is quoting me $1285 - is that reasonable installed? Should I just buy it and have a muffler shop install for me?

It would be great to see a video that shows the difference between the stock and the M perf exhaust.

Anyone know if this 328i MP Exhaust can be fitted with larger (aftermarket) tips? E.g., 83mm or 90mm? This would look a bit more aggressive as well as filling the gap more on the diffuser as it is currently hanging 'low'.

You don't need bigger tips, you just need stronger hangers to close the gap by reducing the sag. If it's done properly it will look spot on.

No no no don't do that! I'm referring to the rubber hanging mounts. Any exhaust specialist business should have a variety of rubber mounts, you just need to get them to fit one that's more heavy duty. Should be very cheap.

Posted this in another thread in this section, just pasting it in:
"So, I have found that there actually are 2 different M Performance exhausts for the 328i: this one, part number 18302293769: http://www.leebmann24.de/bmw-m-perfo...-328i-n55.html and this, 18302293771:http://www.leebmann24.de/bmw-m-perfo...2-428i-xi.html The one in the first link says 80 mm pipes and on the picture you can see that they are thin walled. The other one states 70 mm pipes and has those thicker walls. " Which one do u guys have? I like the thinner walled one with the 80 mm pipes, better.
