great find!
Is it going to be what the rest of world knows as 325d or 330d? I forgot. Either way, I bet this engine will make it to the US as well... |

If it's the 218hp 4 cylinder N47 unit, it will be sold as the 325d in the UK.

Hopefully pricing isn't too ridiculous.

The big question is will this employ a new higher output N47 that justifies the 28d name, or will it simply be the existing version from the 125d/525d (or even the lesser version used in *20d models) with a new badge?
Or perhaps this is a new engine altogether... |

I wonder how much the 328d would go in the US?

interestingly, the 125d is 2000 euro more than the 120d. the 328i is 2000 more than the 320d. if the 328d ends up being the engine from the 125d with 218hp, it would probably end up being very close to the price of a 328i rwd or a 328i. i really think they are going to try and configure it so it ends up costing a little bit less than a 328i if they want to make it a success in NA.

Any chance a 328d xDrive Touring would be available this summer? I'd be down!
