BMS Stage1 +4 (50% e85 50% 93)
BMS Stage1 +4 (50% e85 50% 93)
Just tried this combination and the car pulls very strong. I love it, 60-100 in less than 4 seconds. Amazing, loving it. |

I know this is an older thread, but do any of you guys know if it is safe to run around 25% E85 and the rest 93 Shell's V-Power? (BMS Stage 1 +4 boost)

RFcool I would advise not doing that too often, if at all...To run ethanol you need to change a lot more parameters than the stage 1 is capable of. Your car, your money. Don't say we didn't try to warn you. You can however run unleaded race gas. More expensive, but you can get 103 octane and run 50/50 and be much safer than running ethanol. Even that I would not do often though. |

You should not run E85 with a JB stage 1. If you want more power, it is time to grab a JB4

This motor has had many reported incidents on this forum when pushing JB4 + E85 setup. I'd tread carefully if I were you.

Yea E85 shouldn't be taken lightly on this N55.
If it was the N54 I would say have at it, even race gas. If your itching for more power, start with getting a JB4 then you'll have the flex fuel wires to play around with. Biggest issue with E85 is not the fact that it doesn't work, it will work but you need to be able to monitor everything which you cant with the Stage 1. |
