Differences between 2012, 2013 and 2014 328i?
Hello,
New user - first post! So of course I have a question. :^) I am in the market for a 2012-2104 N20 F30 (ie 328i). Are these years all just the same car? (ie motor/drivetrain/chassis)? I know that certain trim packages were discontinued, but are there any real/major differences in the 328i over these years in terms of reliability. My wife read Consumer Reports which rated the 2014 3 series as highly reliable, but the 2013 3 series as not very reliable. Thanks for any info! Chris |

I had no problems with my 2013 328i for the 3 years I had it. The 2014 comes with an updated iDrive, which is a significant improvement IMHO.

I do like the iDrive in my '14 328i. Only thing that stinks is the ancient technology in the Sirius radio - the audio quality is horrible.
Easy solution is to use your smartphone. The audio quality of SXM is great thru my iPhone. (Today's SXM radios use a new technology) |
