Getting Chocolate Out Of Beige Sensatec

Hey guys,

my friend's little sister stained her beige sensatec seats. she was eating vanilla ice cream in the back seat topped with fudge. some of the fudge spilled onto the seat and seat belt. now the parts hit by the fudge turned dark brown. Any ideas?

thank you in advance

I’d recommend going to a coin op wash and blasting the side opposite of the chocolate first to loosen the chocolate, then blasting the side that has chocolate stuck in it. Chocolate should be fairly water soluble, but I recommend bringing a bottle of clear upholstery cleaner (simple green and such *can* stain). I’ve had good luck with Folex if we are talking grocery store cleaners.

Edit:

I was recommending this for a seat belt. Please do not try this on any other interior surface.

This needs to be extracted. Seriously, trying to scrub chocolate with store brand cleaners are not going to work and will most likely spread the stain making it worse. Take it to someone who can steam and extract the material out of the fabric.

You can rent a carpet cleaner with the upholstery tool attachment but I say support a local detailer

Sensatec is vinyl, not cloth, so it shouldn't stain. It shouldn't take any extreme measure to clean it.
