They are working fine with my iPhone 5 as far as receiving them and having the car read them, but is there a way to respond to them?

Can Siri be activated so you can dictate back?

You can use Siri over Bluetooth over the car's speakers; the only thing you can't currently do is activate Siri from the car, you'll still have to hold down the home button on your iPhone, but after that you can do everything through the car...
