Shoved into my lane to avoid a car in front of him turning left. He had plenty of time to slow down and wait, but decided not to. I got in front of him to maybe get him to pull over, but he had no interest and blew past me. Got his plate and everything at the next stop light though.

Bummer.

Don't get mad, get even. Have him charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

That sucks. If you caught it on dash cam you might have something that your insurance can work with. Otherwise, it becomes a case of your word vs his. If there's no evidence or witnesses to support your claim, then the police might not have much to go on.

I honestly couldn't tell in the low light, but the car goes in for service next week so I'm going to ask for an alignment all the same.

I think it looks bent in the photo because the camera was at a weird angle to capture more light.

As far as I can tell, it all looks cosmetic at this point, so I'm hoping it just comes down to cleaning up that sliver of the rear quarter panel, the rear door, and getting a new wheel.

The guy that hit you probably don't have driver license nor insurance... sorry man, hope the fix will go smooth.

Sorry! to hear that. Had this happen to me on my old car a year ago the other driver did not have insurance and he took off. I got the plate the cops didn't do much my insurance company is waiting to collect from the other party. So i am still out my deductible. But the car was fixed back to new with all OEM parts.

File a police report as soon as possible and keep pushing the Police to investigate. Maybe they can catch the guy before he repairs the damage to his car.

I got a report filed. Turns out this person was on his way to the hospital to drop his wife off who happens to be a nurse here. I'll eventually see him again.

Just curious what kind of car was it? I find pickup trucks are the worst offenders for cutting people off and weaving through traffic.
