Numberplate covers/frames/protectors
I am after numberplate frames/covers for NSW slimline plates that are chrome with rounded corners, with no lines or advertising. On the BMW web site all of the cars F30 Series 3 show Euro plates with chrome surround, that's what I am after but for the slimline plates 372mm*84mm front and 372mm*107mm rear, which have 3 alpha 3 numeric letters. They are to go on to a 328i F30 Glacier Silver sedan, which is on a ship to Australia any ideas please thanks

I have them on my 135. Very clean looking, not the cheapest though and no chrome on the Web site unfortunately so not sure if this helps or not. The VW Watercooled forum guys love 'em... That's where I first heard about them. Very good, personal service and good quality. You can speak to the guy (Philip) too and he will give you some good ideas/info and he knows what he is on about. He may be able to help you out with chrome? Last edited by javab0y; 04-29-2014 at 05:56 PM.. |

Oh sorry, to clarify: Phillip is from Lakin plates; I assume that's the guy you spoke with?
(VW Watercooled is a an Oz VW forum, where I found out about Phillip and Lakin plates). I guess Lakin don't do chrome then. Oh well, hopefully my post will help someone else out. |

Did you look at the link in post#4?
Whilst they do not have rounded edges they are chrome and will fit the plates. If you seriously want to put chrome covers on then I have seen none better? |

You do know you can remove the bmw dealer details from the covers by polishing right (you mentioned about covers with no advertising I'm guessing you dont like that about your existing covers?)
Where in Newcastle are you mate? |
