I just googled that string and the only thing I found was.....this thread. Can you tell I'm anxious to modify the exhaust on this car? With the manual trans, I really would like a little more volume, since I'm used to mostly shifting by ear.

Part number. Its probably not out yet on RealOEM or BMW's not advertising it yet.

If you are anxious to modify your exhaust, go Aftermarket. Lots of good options out there : Eisenmann, aFe, Challenge.

Very interested... Guess I will be cross-shopping cost and sound between the Eisenmann vs. ///M Performance.

Just talked to my sales rep here in Germany (military sales). According to their local M Performance dealer the M performance exhaust for the 328 is due within a week. We'll see. I would like to believe its true, but I will believe it when it happens. Did confirm the $1200 price tag though. Anxiously waiting.

Were at in Germany are you? I am at Ramstein, so I am using PCS outside of Ramstein. I worked out a week 45 build so I could get the new system (hopefully) for the navigation/display unit. I am curious if we can add the M Performance exhaust to the factory build and cut some $$ off since they are not installing the regular exhaust. Like what is happening in the other markets for the M Sport brakes, which are the M Performance brakes in blue with non slotted/drilled rotors.

I'm in K'Town but go through Ramstein as well. Certainly something to talk to your rep about. Even if they can't do it you should order it through PCS since you can use a VAT and they may be able to get you a bit of a discount. That goes with any M Performance parts you want.

SouthernBM in Melbourne stocks them but I don't know if they have one for the N20 yet.

Also drop into the Australian subforum too when you get a chance

Yes, but what about the N26 SULEV??? It has a different downpipe so those systems don't work....

Yeah that is a pain. I'm sure once more N26 fitted vehicles make their way over to the states that the aftermarket will have systems for them. I wish I could say how long that would be

Just in case anyone missed it, BMW released a sound clip of the M performance 328i exhaust...http://http://www.bmw.com/com/en/own...ies_sedan.html

Once you go to the link, click drivetrain, then click the exhaust pic in the top middle, below the picture of the exhaust you will see a 1/3, click the next button to hear a sound clip of the M performance exhaust (2/3), if you go to 3/3 you will hear a comparative clip of the 328i stock exhaust.

Nice find, thanks . I am a little bit dissapointed, can not hear a big difference from the standard exhaust, it seems that the M performance exhaust only have more "growl". Is the M performance system lighter then stock?

Keep in mind that you really need to hear it live- these videos just don't do any exhaust justice like the way pics don't really show you how nice the F30 looks. As far as weight you can pretty much bet that it will be lighter weight though not by much, maybe 5-10 pounds which is what I have found to be the case with previous M exhaust systems (someone correct me if I am wrong). Eisenmann claims their exhaust reduces weight by almost half of the stock system so you may want to look there if you want drastic weight reduction.
