wifes 328i build

Hi everyone. It's been a minute since i've posted anything on here. My wife's bmw f30 328i is all finished minus a couple things at the moment, but it wasn't a very heavy investment as it is her daily and our baby hauler. it was in a friends audio company booth for sema. I'm pretty happy with it. Want to thank all the sponsors

Seibon Carbon
TSW Wheels
Toyo Tires
Megan Racing
Injen Technologies
Kay Premium Automotive Films
Eastwood Company
Whistler Group
Odyssey Batteries
Mothers Polish
SEM products

Mods
Seibon carbon fiber VR style hood finished with SEM products hot rod clear
Seibon carbon CSL style trunk finished with SEM products hot rod clear

KPMF carbon fiber roof wrap
TSW Mirabeau wheels 20x9 +35 and 20x10 +35
Toyo Proxes 4 225/40r20 and 255/30r20
Megan Racing lowering springs (coilovers to come)
Megan Racing catback exhaust (prototype)

Stock when we bought it last year

at Megan Racing developing the catback exhaust system

a week before sema for some simple and small rock chip fixes and to respray part of the rear bumper because some @$$hole tapped the rear bumper and took off. SEM products graciously sponsored paint materials and the matte clear for the seibon carbon parts

Kay premium marketing films sponsored carbon fiber film we wrapped the roof of the car in and also several of our other builds.

here it is at sema in north hall!

here it is at the Las Vegas International Autoshow parked along with several of my company's demo vehicles.

It looks so mean!

I don't really like the single pipe though. Fatter double pipes would have been much better.

Thanks!

it's a 328i hence the single pipe as well as it being the r&d car for megan racing for the exhaust development. this build isnt like most of my other builds, this one can go 100% back to stock if needbe. my curse is that i always take it a bit too far with cars and they can never really go back to stock lol.

Buy base model German sedan.
Spend $$$$$$$$ on mods so it looks like a Japanese ricer.
Makes sense to me.

didn't buy it with the purpose of modding it (again my wifes daily) nor did i spend much of anything modding it. actually next to nothing it was used for a lot of r&d with various companies to help bring out new products to the bmw community. It was a fun project to do for sema since my friends company needed a booth vehicle and the rest of my company's demo vehicles already were allocated to other booths/companies. Again, the car can be converted 100% back to stock unlike the other vehicles my company has done for sema.

How is it exactly a japanese ricer? and do you know what the actual term ricer is?

I think there were good intentions, but poor execution. Everything looks out of place. I guess the 3er has been around so long, anything deviating from the "norm" looks awful.

I wouldn't let someone do that to my car if they paid me, let alone pay for any of those mods. Do yourself a favor and put it back to stock

Add me to the list of people that are not fans, looked best the day you bought it. Go back to the exhaust company and tell them to R&D a proper dual tip for it rather than a fartpipe that completely ignores the lines of the bumper cutout - it's hard to call blatant disregard like that R&D in my opinion as an engineer.

Now it looks like the kind of car I'd get out of the way for if it was in my rear view mirror, and not because I'm intimidated, but because I'd think it was probably driven by some fast n furious stunner like all the riced out Hondas who are most likely to drive like idiots and rear end me.

completely agree with you, just visit the M5 section they make 100k car look like a Honda from fast and the furious and also numerous conversations of how they gonna buy a Porsche, i am just waiting for the day when they start posting pics of their wife's to c who's got the better one, well we might have to wait for a while as many of them still live with their parents or driving their dad's M5
