Ed Order placed!

2013 328 6mt rwd estoril blue msport for late Feb Ed.

Staggered wheels, summer tires, beige vinyl, walnut trim.

I'm pumped! Gonna be hard without a car until Redelivery.

I'm glad I saw estoril in person. I was leaning alpine white instead. I'm coming from montego blue e90 so it's almost identical to my eye. Maybe a hair lighter for estoril.

Congratulations. You'll have a great experience picking up at the Welt, I can speak from experience that it will not be journey you will soon forget. If you can bring a guest, you'll both immensely enjoy it.

On a side note, be careful with the wheels, you'll be there in winter and they are quite strict with the wheel requirements in Europe. I would check with your advisor for more specifics just to be safe.

Nevertheless, we looking forward to your upcoming pics.

Congrats on the new purchase but I am here in Europe now and like wdlv stated, they are pretty strict on tires during the winter, especially Germany. I'm it Italy so it's different but I believe in Germany their laws are something like if it's under icy conditions you MUST have a snow tire (heavy fines!)...one can not predict if it's going to be icy that day but it's something to that effect. I can tell you they get a lot of snow...so be careful. Basically I'd read up on it and get with your CA so you don't get boned or have to worry about it when you pick up your new ride.

Very good! Yep, you better reserve some winter tires. February in Bavaria sounds like it could be brutal, but I'm sure you'll enjoy the experience.

The minute I got back from ED last year, I started looking forward to the next time that I could return!

The winter tires in EU are pretty sick too, so have ur dealer get them placed on so you can actually drive and enjoy it...fines wouldn't be worth the hassle. And you will get fined...

Already planning on renting winter tires from edwintertires.com

Not cheap though. Around 400 dollars for the week.

I just did this over Thanksgiving. The winter tires were simple. And yes, not cheap. But, even more important than the prospect of a fine, your insurance is null and void if you DON'T have them so they're actually plenty cheap!

Great that you found that solution, now you'll be able to travel worry free.

FYI, if you plan to do any traveling in the Alp passes, do some research when you arrive as some regularly close due to snow conditions. Hope that helps you.
