435ix Gran Coupe Arrived - Very Pleased So Far..

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Lease was up on my 2011 335ix. Ordered a new 2015 435ix Gran Coupe M-Sport lease on Dec 27th. Was fun to track its production (Germany) and follow the car's shipment on the vessel Manon to the port of entry near Oxnard, CA. Santa Fe BMW (New Mexico) delivered the car on March 18th (they are first class BTW, IMO).

Specs:
435 ix M-Sport Package
Mineral Grey
Black Kidney Grilles
Ferric Grey 18" M-Sport Wheels
M-Sport brakes
Dynamic Handling Package
Premium Package

I've only driven it 300 miles, but so far I'm really pleased .

Here are a few more photos (link below) taken in the dusty high desert near Santa Fe.

http://globaleventphotos.com/p125949771/e126885d9

Glad to be part of this forum. I've already learned a lot reading the posts from other 435 owners. Looking forward to sharing information and perhaps picking up some "tweaking tips".

Cheers,

Tony Bonanno

Very nice color combo! Did you mod the front side reflectors to black them out? They also dont look like the normal curved shape of the OEM ones.

YES - It snows in Santa Fe - 7000 feet and a ski area too

Yes, it snows in Santa Fe.. sometimes a lot. We have real Winters here. 7000 feet high desert mountain terrain. Folks think Santa Fe is like Sedona, but it is very much a four season, high elevation town. Most everyone that lives here (for any length of time) have at least one AWD or FWD vehicle. AWD is very popular here. We are surrounded by Red Rock country and mountains. Our ski area goes up to 12,000 feet.

Mainly due to the winters here. We've already had several snow storms this winter, a few 10 - 12 inches. We're at 7000 feet (town).. Our ski area is 10-12,000 feet. Also, once away from the towns, a lot of areas are only accessible by dirt roads, etc. The "official Santa Fe car" is an Subaru AWD . Santa Fe is more like a Colorado town than an Arizona town. Southern NM is different story. Dirt roads and some rougher terrain, but NOT the snow issues of northern NM.

Beauty! Congrats!!

I agree, it can snow a lot in northern NM. I live in northern NM too, however I may move in the next year or so hence I got the RWD.

That is funny! Actually Albuquerque is about a 1000 feet lower and usually about 15 deg warmer, but even they get snow occasionally..

WOW looks GORGEOUS!!!
i ordered mine last week and it won't arrive until June
Anyhow, to all those 4 GC owners have you guys ran into any issue, problems?
I heard from a family member saying that the 4 series will have more issue compared to 3 series...is this true ( i doubt it ) what are your thoughts
Either way i am still getting the 4 GC but just wanted to know what you guys think Thanks

One other question, I see a lot of people get the DHP I didn't get it didn't think it would be that big of a difference should I contact the dealer and ask to out it in?

When Texans want a closer, cheaper ski trip they go to New Mexico. www.skinewmexico.com
