Halogen to Xenon?
Quick question.
If I were to buy these for my car, what else would I need to make the switch to OEM Xenons? http://goo.gl/ciUHYw & http://goo.gl/yuZBA8 |

All sorts of expensive modules and coding, not to mention the need to install washer jets, so that would also require a new bumper

I just don't understand why a luxury automaker like BMW sells premium cars with halogen which is just so wrong and unacceptable. They should charge a bit more and sell every car with proper Xenons as standard and Adaptive Xenons or LEDs with HBA as optional. It looks awful seeing sexy and sporty new BMWs driving on the road with yellow halogen headlights. Anyway, I recently changed the blue tinted Philips Diamond Vision halogen bulbs with 55W 6000K H7R bulbs for better visibility. They don't have iconic angel eyes or any fancy stuff but will give you better light output and confidence when driving at night. Click here if you like to watch the video. |

Still have them mate, looking for aftermarket headlight units with projectors. I'll transfer over the HIDs to the new headlights

Oh thanks. I remember someone on this forum was selling a pair of those before he got proper oem xenons.
What about the LED headlights from ONEighty and umnitza? https://shop.180.nyc/products/bmw-4-...nt=12586157443 https://www.umnitza.com/bmw-f30-led-...ngel-eyes.html |

The headlights in both links there are LHD, you can buy them buy you'll not pass MOT with those and you'll be blinding all oncoming traffic.
The eagle eyes are the only RHD aftermarket ones I can find |

Here's how my halogen headlights look like when on. Quite rubbish compared to the one with angel eyes.
But, it looks better than yellow halogens and most importantly the visibility at night. Last edited by P1 PET; 07-30-2016 at 04:11 AM.. |
