u guys dont seem to get it ... the ONLY thing to take away from these pictures is confirmation that the car actually exists.

Anything beyond that conclusion is a waste of time and purely hypothetical. They do such a great job camo-ing these cars you will be surprised to look back at ur previous thoughts when u eventually see the car fully revealed

After 5 3series coupes over the years that's it for me. Time to look at the competition.
You are hilarious. Yeeeeaaaaa, it's a 435iL...

True but we've known this model existed before they even announced it. So the purpose of these pictures of a camo'd car is to get hypothetical and speculate on what is possible on a car a lot of us are interested in buying in the future. A lot of us guess right when we look back at our interpretations too.

Response to undue "competition?"

Ok, taking a look at the rear windshields... Is it me or did they severely modify the Hofmeister Kink???!!! If you look closely it "seems" to be more along the lines of (God forbid) the Hyundai Genesis Coupe or Infiniti G37 coupe.

Thoughts?

'99 Acura Integra?

This seems like a cruel joke. The front is a near exact replica of a '99 Acura Integra except for the side marker lights. The body is from a '99 Volvo C70 Coupe. And the tail looks like it is from an E90. I know the car is camo'd but so far, I don't like what I'm seeing. Don't put the Roundel on this puppy!

Agreed! I miss the old E92 style already. I do have to ask though, are we SURE that this is the new "4"series? There's just something off about it. Wait, that's it! It's taste! That's whats off about it. It has no taste! While the 1er isn't a beauty queen, she's a mighty fine BMW compared to the direction BMW may be going.

I feel like i am turning into one of those old guys, but the e46 just look right from every angle. BWM came close to perfection then slowly drifted away from it since. Bangle was to the least controversial, the new BMW design is bland and understated like Lexus and Audi.

I don't think so. my e92 is a good looking car, but I think the e46 coupe was among the best looking bmw coupes ever. it took the spot-on proportions of the e36 and gave them slightly understated but timeless beauty and elegance. I remember I was in high school when the e46 coupe came out and when I see them on the road today they are, as they were then, just wow. unfortunately my love for my e46 was overcome with the gotta-have-it thrust of the N54

E92 is a good looking car, I should have switched into the E92 M3 after my 135i fiasco now I wouldn't be looking for a more exciting car to drive. But there's something to say about Lexus' reliability.

But, I don't agree that the camo is done to actually MAKE you hate it, so that the customer is later wow'd at the finished look. It's an interesting perspective, but I don't agree that that's why the camo is there.

The camo on the new 1 series hatchback didn't make me hate it or like it.
It looked very much like the previous model. With the camo off I still don't like it and wasn't wow'd by it, other than I thought, "Wow, I still don't like it."
I have now accepted the new headlights. I don't think they're great, but they're ok/acceptable.

This camo'd car does not look like a Mustang or Altima to me, not at all, and I don't get why many see it that way. It's a coupe profile, so it will share similarities. But, overall the camo'd profile still looks like a BMW 3 coupe to me.
As someone else stated, if that's the new Mustang then it's a much sleeker Mustang.
Hate was a bit hyperbolic of me. But you get the idea. They don't want you getting attached to anything before the official design is unveiled.

mini? looks just as massive... jk
but really... it was sitting next to that C-class wagon and it looked massive... really long and very wide. And those are great classy proportions for a big grand tourer... but for a 3 coupe.... come on... looks like we have to hope the new 1 coupe won't have the jacked up headlights/front of the hatch...

I had doubts about the F30 but i'm a huge fan of it, and the f30 m3 should look fantastic too... I think with the coupe they are trying to aim it more at the A5, E coupe, and CTS coupes of the world... which i think all 3 of those are too big to be a scalpel, more like meat cleavers...

So hard to tell with the Camo on. I doubt it looks anything other than spectacular when it comes out though!
