Anyone ordered the 340i ?

Just hit the Go button on the 340i that replaced the current 335i.
Pretty well equiped and not much left to option up which was a nice surprise.
Felt like i needed to and like others i dont like the standard leather so went with the below -

340i Sedan M Sport package
individual order Moonstone Metallic
M Sport brakes
glass roof (will miss my carbon roof :-( )
442M 19inch wheel
sun protection glazing
Individual extended Merino leather black
Individual instument panel finished in leather (dont like the metal or wood finish)

She is no M3 but should be a nice comfy and fun car to drive..

Congrats mate.

I thought the instrument leather was just the top of the dash?

I think you still get a trim?

Cheers and yes the top of the dash is in leather but i have ordered through BMW Individual the lower part of the dash, door inserts and handle as well as the center consol and dash trim that is normally covered in the trim option, all covered in leather.. There is 3 instument / consol Individual options from what i can guess and see on my order sheet. My dealer selected them all just to make sure :-)

Currently it's allocated to an oct build due to the individual options which wouldn't see the car hit oz until dec so I would take delivery in jan 2016. BMW are trying to slot it in for a sept build which would see me get the car in November but that's not confirmed yet,,, I hate the waiting game :-)

Grats on the build, that's the exact spec I'd choose at the moment, I think Moonstone is a great colour. Hopefully I'll get to see you on the road in the new year and see it for real

Congratulations on the purchase Moonstone would look marvelous, good contrast to the Mineral White M3. Will be interesting how it feels compared to the M3.

yes looking forward to the Moonstone and really wanted a Moonstone M3 as it looks amazing against the contrasting carbon roof. Maybe my next car :-)
BMW are already developing an M Performance engine upgrade for the 340i so will definately smack that on once available. It's just a pitty we dont get the all wheel drive versions in Oz as we are at a point now where you cant get the power to the ground without the dash lighting up with traction control activation. My M3's dash was forever lit up like a xmas tree and was a little frustrating having quite a bit on unusable power. Just need a race track or controlled environment close by :-)

I agree, it would be nice if they brought in some Xdrives for Oz. Same thing mine lights up each time I floor it, started ever since I changed off RFT's.

Morning all, have yesterday ordered the 330i. Congrats on your 340i.
A Perth dealership are calling it a special 69,990, this includes

M sport Package with adaptive suspension
19" msport wheels
I connect

Optioned up with Mineral grey $1287
Fineline Anthracte trim $ 300 Total on road 724418

M sport brakes for 1400 sounded like a good deal but the only real benefit of them I thought was for high speed stopping, as I am not going to track this car also the extra weight of them would not benefit a daily driver with a sunday morning squirt around an industrial area.
BM say the 330i is 45 kg lighter than the 340i. no point adding more weight.
The M sport brakes do look the part though.
Delivery they believe is early December.

Still have my 330i E46 which is why I have gone for the F30 330i, love that little car.
Truly just cannot wait.

All the best

I would option the M Sport brakes for $1400 as it's a bargain & nearly identical to the M Performance brakes which you get for around $4K. You could always option them on & sell them later on for more than what you paid.
Head Up Display unless it's standard these days & HK audio other than that everything else could be retrofitted if you do decide to get it later on.

Thanks for advice Knightsabers have ordered the brake pack.
Had to take notice with the experience you have with this model.
Display is standard over 2k for hk stereo.

You're welcome. Learn't from experience somethings costs a lot more retrofitting after. The HK stereo is preferential you can always retrofit Bavsound or better speakers later on for less.

BMW phoned yesterday to say my car will arrive at
fremantle harbour on the 6th of October !
Then went on to say BM don't want to release any before the 24th of October,
something to do with their promotion of these new models.
Not long now till Happy Days!

You can order the new 430i and the 340i? The dealership I made enquiries to didn't mention anything about being able to order the new models now...

I'm thinking of ordering a 430i rather than a 428i if that's the case...
