Can't believe the MPG

So I have my E90 in to get a couple of things done before my warranty is up. They gave me a F30 328i and since my work has taken a week I got to take the loaner on a road trip.

One tank of gas from Denver to Omaha 539 Miles 41.3 MPG with 55 mls left on tank.

it's sick right?

i'm getting about 27-30mpg with primarily spirited hwy driving - if I drove at 75mph and LESS, I could easily hit 33-35mpg.

Their tech is amazing...I have a beast car that can be tapped into on demand, and can cruise along otherwise. Kudos!

PS - my trade in acura tsx (2010) got 28mpg frequently, and was 4 cylinders/5-speed/200hp.

36 without issue on longer highway trips - haven't gone more than 100 miles highway at a clip yet, could probably see 37+ without too much trouble. 33 on my daily commute (some highway/traffic, mostly backroads). Pretty fantastic all around.

I get 23mpg under my "normal" spirited driving. No, not worried about the gas mileage but it's not bad considering.

same. If you keep coasting to the speed limit, you can see the car is constantly drinking a lot of petrol. U want to give it a steady pace to get up to the speed u want and the cruise from there. That is y u can see the eco pro drinking more as it takes a lot longer to get up to speed

Can someone check the instant fuel consumption when driving steady around 87-90 mph (140 km/h)? Just want a comparison cause thats the speed I cruise on to work

And you guys getting low consumption figures, are the engines broken in and if so have u seen an improvement since it was brand new? Im breaking mine in so im not driving it very econonically cause I really am trying to vary speed and revs almost the whole time haha..
