no line steering -> sport steering swap coding needed?

Hi,

My 328i unfortunately came with no line steering. I have an opportunity to get a sport steering with airbags and exact same multimedia controls.

I was wondering if there is any coding needed post the swap?

My understanding is that if you do sport steering -> m sport steering swap, you need to get some coding done by dealer afterwards.

But to my eyes, no line steering -> sport steering seems identical.. so can anyone shed light on this matter?

Thanks

FYI, I did the swap from Sport Line to M-Sport Line; no coding was required. Both used a dual-stage airbag. I believe it is the same case from No-line to Sport-Line.

How did you do the swap? Just the front and back bumper and side skirts? Or did you do anything else with the mechanics? Did you add the wheels and steering wheel too?
