As the red pants & cape were on the 'outside', I suppose a real superman F30 would actually be Estoril Blue but with Melbourne Red rear doors and boot lid

Truly lovely pictures.
BMW could use them; with your permission obviously.
No pictures of my/our first born as it is for the ex. I think she's in love.
Mine arrives in 2.5 weeks. However, my photographic skills are not in your league. So I'll indulge in a cowardly pass.
Scrub that No Plate out or I'll find you and nick 'Superman'.

I used to have a D700 and used it with fast primes (35mm, 50mm, 85mm and a 150mm macro lens)....awesome stuff.

With regards to the HK, have you adjusted any settings yet? On the E90 forum there were some recommended settings that really heightened the performance from the std settings...haven't seen any for the F30 yet though.

To be honest, I never got the whole point of hiding number plates on pictures. I mean, it's not like they're hidden when thousands of people can see them on a commute. The car's parked outside now with the plates visible after all

Thanks man. Not HDR, no. I find HDR shots of cars often look cartoony and besides, I didn't have my tripod with me so wouldn't have been able to accurately bracket the shots for a proper HDR merge I just wanted to try to replicate what the car looked like to the human eye. "Naturally" exposed, the car would have looked like it were in daylight so I underexposed it then just played with the curves a bit to retain the shadow but give a little more definition to the highlights Almost the exact opposite of what HDR achieves when I think about it

I haven't mate. I haven't felt the need to. It really is immense. I've got BOSE in the MPS and that's damn good by any normal standards but this HK is just on another level entirely. Sooo punchy and gives real depth and power even at low volumes. I love it!

We could do with some sunshine first! But yes my friend: as soon as there's some sunshine and I'm free, I'll get the toys out and do you some nice 'graphs

Thanks for the kind comments guys. The car is amazing in every way. No wait, in every way but one. It's a bitch to get IsoFix car seats in and when they're in, it's a REAL bitch to get to the seatbelt holders Still holding at just over 40mpg too I get the impression that if you do plenty of motorway miles without traffic, you'll see 50+ without much effort. Traffic and town driving, driven carefully will still net you over 40mpg and if you drive it spiritedly for a fair bit of your drive then you'll get mid 30s. Amazing really seeing how it gains speed with such languid ease

Seeing your pics really make me wish I'd gone for EBII now with the red leather. Grey with black will be so boring in comparison! Oh well lets see if a 340D is launched and I'll change

I'm glad it's not just me that has this problem We have two IsoFix seats and getting them in is a nightmare! It was only afterwards I realised that the folding rear seats also has the slots for the IsoFix points to go through. For the couple of times though I allow the kids in the car it's not too great a hardship

Sorry (in that case I have been a little insulting). But I know what you mean... I've done a bit of HDR with cars and sometimes it works well but most of the time it's false/fake looking.

No kids allowed anymore in my cars. Been there, done it. They can take pubic transport or go by taxi at their parent's expense.

My kids are 4 and 6 though. Options therefore a little more limited I've told everyone they're only allowed in the car wearing silk pyjamas now. Ladies are allowed underwear. Children a dressing gown if it's cold.

I have to find an "easy place to try first", just in case.

I should have ordered it for my ex. She is the Kerb Queen of the Universe.

I decided against it for myself as I did'nt wish to lose this skill.

Mine are 2 years and the other 9 months so each have their own unique problems Thankfully for them neither are in the muddy stage yet otherwise it'll be a long walk home for them! The wife has the S-Max though for that sort of family logistics side of things, daddy has the cool car, mummy has the bus
