In my case I needed a shorter delivery time so my CA gave me a slot from Germany. I've seen threads debating quality of one plant vs the other, but nothing that convinces me there's a difference. |

It seems like they're making some 2015 M Sport with fog lights. Just saw this 2015 335i on a dealer's website.

I just saw two 2015 335i M Sport with M Sport brakes that doesn't have fog lights. It seems like if you don't want fog lights, you have to order M Sport brakes.

The M-Sport diesels, wagons, and GTs have always had fog lights. Its the F30 sedans with M-Sport (American market) that have them omitted in favor of additional cooling.

S520A Nebelscheinwerfer Fog lights I did not expect this. It's an F30 335i, M sport with 18" rims and non M perf brakes. I'm not sure I want the fog lights, honestly. I liked the inlets all black. Oh, and don't worry about hot climate versions, that's normal. Many car makers make hot and cold weather versions of their cars that either operate better in the anticipated temperature range, or just save them money by avoiding unnecessary features. if you don't live somewhere that requires engine block heaters then you are in the hot weather region. |

Whatever the reason, the next question is whether or not these new grille/foglight assemblies can be retrofitted. I definitely would like to have foglights, but if the wiring/correct switch is missing and needs to be added, that could add significant cost, and then there's the whole installation thing. It would be nice if the wiring is already in place, as previously mentioned.

I have an F32 M-Sport 428i with the M-sport brakes in Australia. It has the foglights. I'm happy with that, but just a bit amused that BMW seems to consider Australia a country where hot weather isn't a problem, but fog is.
I was also intrigued to note that the left foglight turns on when I turn left and the right one turns on when I turn right. I didn't think to check if this is only with the headlights set on auto. This is in addition to the headlights swiveling with turns. We also get the full adaptive headlight bit with the blocking of the beam to prevent dazzling oncoming cars and cars in front - no extra coding needed if adaptive headlights are specified. Living in a semi-rural area, I use this a lot and it is impressive most of the time, but there are occasional glitches. When I get close to our driveway (unlit rural), it invariably switches the high beam off completely like it does in well-lit areas and I can't see what it's reacting to apart from a very small reflecting property number sign that's only about 4x4". Generally, large highway reflecting signs get ignored. Suppose I'll cover the sign sometime and see if this is the culprit. |

Just curious, since the fog lights now perform as cornering and reverse clearance lights, and apparently the inner lights that used to do this are just dummy projector bulbs, do M Sports w/o fog lights lose these features?

Yes...but I have found the corner light function just makes it looks like you have a fog light burnt out.

When I had my GTI 6 it didn't have the cornering lights function as it had bi-xenon headlights.
My Fog lights do not come on when cornering, I do have the Xenon lights. Is there a way to switch on the cornering light function. If there is a way let me know would like to try it out. |
