Lightbulb Advice for brand new F30 owners

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and just recently purchased a 2013 BMW 335i x drive (US Specs, sport line, sapphire black)—I will be taking delivery on 20 June in northern Italy (Aviano). As a new owner of BMW, and one whose never really owned a performance vehicle before (previous cars were F-150, and Ford Explorer), I was hoping some of the old “vets” could impart some wisdom for us new guys. I’ve been obsessively scouring these forums and honestly getting very excited to get behind the wheel of this beast, but I want to learn everything and from everyone I can before then. What was one or two things you wish you new when you bought your brand new BMW that would’ve made the experience better, saved on maintenance, or simply was something you didn’t think about.

I’m excited to be a part of this august group, and (soon) to enjoy the ultimate driving machine like all of you—especially as the weather becomes perfect driving weather!

I'm going to get my first bmw a week before you (328i). Have you read the owners manual yet? Normally I don't read any kind of manual, but I want to know every little feature in that bad boy and it certainly was a lot of help.
