JB4 is really simple to install.. especially stage 1.
shows how basic it is.

I have not done the stage2 though, but I hear it is simple as well.

Speak to Ted or Ned. I don't know if they specifically install JB4 but they have lots of tune options. They are a great shop for performance parts and labor is not super expensive.

Any shop worth anything should be able to it.

That said, if you can follow instructions you should be able to do it very easily. Stage 1 is literally easier than plugging in your cable box/satellite to your tv.

Stage 2 requires slightly more as you have to tap into two CAN wires and ground and power the unit. But if you can follow instructions it should take an additional 10 mins the first time you do it (the CAN wires are the first two of the appropriate color from the right side - that's not explicitly stated but shown).

Bumping an ancient thread - fellow 335i houston bro checking in from the future. The install of the complete JB4 actually does look decently involved even if you have experience. Personally, I'd rather pay someone and not risk messing something up.

I'll leave the do it yourself for the air intake

Although I enjoyed your profile name..., I wonder how many people got "triggered" by it...

Guess that's subjective to your preference...however, being biased towards bm3 - I would say 10-15min initial DME unlock, less than 30sec "off line" map flashing and any off the shelf OBD enet cable is pretty easy as well .. .. .

Well I guess after you pay the extra few hundred for the device and wire it up in your car... guess it is as easy after all that....

P.s. there is a plug-in blue-tooth coming out for mhd shortly...

I'm having small issues seeing the full screen on my S8 when
I want to flash. The flash button is mostly below the screen so I am forced to use my laptop to see the full screen so I can flash.
Are you using an I phone?

Yes, using iPhone X

I’ve also used iPad/iPad Mini and Galaxy 10.5 tablet with no issues

Sure, I spent the extra $$$ to support the people developing the platform. But, you can also build your own for less than $60 using THIS thread found in this forum. .

Huh? No battle here...just polite communication as both are great platforms.....unlike you "triggered" folks in CA.

Just kidding, not kidding ..

But on my Samsung S8 plus the whole screen will not show up. I will take a snapshot and post.

What have learned from the last 20 posts?

That JB4 is immaterial in 2018 on a N55.
