I have been thinking alot about this new F30, but in the end, I think I like my e90 LCI M-Sport more.
On the interior, I think it will get old really fast. I don't like the center of the dash with rounded corners and too many joints. The iDrive screen looks out of place. Also too many pieces of trim everywhere. On the exterior, the rear is really boring, the e90 LCI rear is much more aggressive but elegant at the same time. The front looks somewhat good but it looks like it's "forced" to look aggressive instead of looking aggressive in a natural way. The headlights sit too low. The engine line-up is really boring, with the N55 engine being the top of the line. N55 has not much tuning potential like the N54. Since the new M3 will have like 435hp, a model with like 360hp would have been nice. ActiveHybrid is interesting but it's a bit underpowered and it remains to be seen if its weight will be low enough for good performance. What I do like about the new F30: the Heads-Up Display, the display of power and torque on the iDrive, the adaptive suspension, the eco-pro and sport modes, the fact that it's lighter, and the possibility of opening the trunk without using hands. Oh, and the optional 4-piston brakes.

Insert badge sarcasm here: I think BMW need rethink all that "Sport, Modern, and Luxury" budges! And they can always look at Honda. Just rename to LX, SE and EX!!!!!

The EPS on the 5 series is terrible. Numerous reviews have commented on the lack of steering precision and sporty feel on the 5, not to mention the dreaded "pulling to the right" complaint of many 5 series owners - including myself. The 5 is far from the ultimate driving machine because of the EPS... |

Insert badge sarcasm here:
Dear BMW, It IS too confusing; I do need to check out the side badge on the BMW beside me to know how to judge the driver, before I can give him or her an approving nod. We need more badges on our cars, I have a few more for BMW to use free of license depending on what options (or lack of) you choose: 1.) Pre-Modern, Modern, Post-Modern, Futuristic and Visionary 2.) Cheap, Budget, Tree Hugger, Economy, Standard, Suite, Luxury, Double-King and Presidential 3.) Lethargic, Recreational, Speed-Walker, Hiker, Jogger, Runner, Sport and Extreme Sports If I was sitting at a light in my ‘Extreme Sports Presidential Visionary’ and a lady pulled up in a 'Tree Hugger Lethargic' I would not give her the time of day, unless she was cute, then I would flex my Extreme Sportiness at her |

I was b*tching about the car front end (side view) but now I see it more clearly and I like it a lot - the car is now success in my book and I want one....
anybody knows the difference between the "lines"? Also, sound like the idea of "fully Loaded" is gone.... from now one you buy a preset trim + some expensive add-ons... it was one thing I liked about BMW pricing is that you can take a base model and add what you need. |

The fender badges would be the first things I remove... and then find a way to get rid of that "ConnectedDrive" text on the front windshield. WTF?

I like the new 3, but I cannot help but notice how much new cars look alike these days.
Take the front of the F30 and the facelifted XF for example. They share a minor similarity when viewed from the front (might just be me, and not necessarily a bad thing): I'm also not too crazy about the amount of size the front overhang has grown by, but I can live with it. Overall, really like the new look. |

Any confirmation that this "line" thing will be in the NA markets?
