Order Tracking in Canada - works
Found this method on the F10 forums through Google, and I think it's worth repeating for those wondering about order tracking:
This post is to confirm this method still works for tracking from ship to shore (I'm tracking my folk's 328i). Now what to do once it reaches Halifax? Some say check CN website? Anyway, shouldn't be long once it hits our shores. Hope it helps. Cheers. |

Yes, you can find your car on what boat is sailing.
Also cool free application here allows you to track ship progress globally. http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/def...spx?level0=100 |

Unless you have a CP (or is it CN?) Rail account then you can't track until it's about to be delivered to the dealership. The trip to the destination city can take a while based on my experience.
However at that point in Toronto I was able to plug the last 8 digits of my VIN into the Hansen trucking page. |

Thanks for the tip! Will definitely look for it to appear then once the car gets to the GTA. Looks like there are a bunch of folks around waiting on the shipment that arrived in Halifax last week.

It actually meant delivery date to the dealership in my case, but a couple of days may be required for the PDI. The status will change to Delivered when the dealer has the car.

Woohoo, and car has appeared on the Hansen site.
Timelines for me so far: May 9th arrival at Halifax May 19th at Concord, appear on Hansen May 24th scheduled delivery. EDIT: Wait a second... [goes to Google maps] Concord Ontario as in, really close to Vaughan, as in like HWY 7 ish? Why the hell should it take 5 days? I'll just drive up there (10 mins) and get the car myself FFS. It doesn't take 5 days, but I can understand your confusion. It takes 5 days for them to pick it up and deliver it. I'm not sure whether they pick it up during that window, or whether it's picked up and stored in a lot before delivery. Notwithstanding, the car gets delivered to the dealership on the ETA date.

Mine is on the boat May 17th to arrive in Halifax May 28th. NOt sure how long the train ride takes to get to Mississauga. That's ok because I'm not scheduled to pick up the car until Late July.

Hey, mine is on the same boat. I've been told estimated delivery date will be approx June 13. I ordered back in Mid April and am getting impatient!

Longer than it should! I'm still perplexed why my delivery won't be until June 13. Seems like an excessive amount of time for a rail car, truck transport, and delivery preps at Miss

Looks like 328iLax, F30.ca and I had all our cars on the same ship (the Medea) which dropped them off in Halifax on May 28th. Any way to track rail? I know once it's on a Hansen truck it can be tracked by VIN.
Where are you guys and what delivery date has your dealer given you? I'm in Windsor and hoping to have it by Friday but that's a complete guess by me. Thanks. |

They're likely guessing based on past experience. In my case the dealer was always about a week behind on his guesses, and I always had far more accurate information from WW and Hansen than he did. Or maybe he just didn't feel like doing the legwork, I couldn't say.

It's a few days by rail alone to Concord. My impression is that the car sits at Halifax until it can get onto a rail car. Then it probably sits in Concord for a few days between dropoff, prep and transportation.
