Bought a anker 2 port car charger from amazon. Plug into the power outlet in the cupholder, not working. Does work for the rear seat and trunk outlets. However rear seat outlet is being used for my dashcam, trunk one isn't feasible.
So, different type of cigarettes lighter for cupholder and rest of the car????

I just received my Ankey 4.8A Dual USB PN: CC-S1 and it works in all my outlets. I found it to be a tighter fit than my previous Scosche charger and had to firmly press it into the receptacle. if fully seated you should only have about a 1/4" sticking up.

Have you looked under the glove box in the footwell? You need to get down on your knees and look upward at it. Some cars have one hidden there, but I'm not sure if Canadian models do. I plug my dash cam in there so the wiring is completely hidden.

No. My last e90 had it. Love it.
No more for f3x. Not in NA market anyway.
European version has it

That's odd, I have an American F30 that has it. They may have phased it after after a certain year.

Your wrong. EVERY US f30 comes standard with the extra power outlet, you can see it on every order form. Well at least every US F30 is supposed to come with it regardless of options.

That's strange... If you have the Storage Compartment Package (Standard on the F32, F33 and F36 in Canadian Models, Optional in F30, F31), you get the glovebox outlet in addition to the rear seat and trunk ones. Also gets you the seatback + trunk storage nets and the drivers side storage compartment (good for sunglasses heh)

Vehicles not equipped with the Storage Compartment Package only have the outlet in the centre console. No storage nets at all.

Take a photo, because it should be part of that particular package.
