+1 - same situation here

No there's a delay because of stock.

Normal orders are just 2-3 months. With leather dash, people's production are being delayed until January. So after production it still needs to be shipped so depending if you're on the west or east, you might not see your car until March and later.

This isn't on all cars is it? My F31 with leather dash was ordered and finished production in under a month.

I'm hearing it a lot on the 4 series. Not sure about the 3 but in the interior is essentially the same. You might have been lucky. Like the OP, I saw some people order back in July/August and are getting a date for January for production.

Oh alright gotcha. So an additional 1-2 months for the leather dash option?

I guess if you're leasing it might not be that bad, but if you're buying, keep in mind that you would live with this decision for many years lol.

If you might regret not getting it, I would wait. I am thinking of a 4GC to replace my F30 and I want the leather dash.

Also if you didn't want to order it, seems there is adequate demand of those who do

Does anyone know if BMW has resumed delivery of the Priority-One leather dashboard for 4-series customers in the U.S. yet?

I know that finding this option on a dealer-inventory car is pretty unlikely. Has anyone here in the U.S. recently taken delivery of an ordered car with the leather dashboard, or received a firm delivery date?

I ordered the LD. option back in August and production has been delayed until week #4 which is when the Leather Dashboard will be back in stock.

The leather dash really dresses up the forward facing interior.

BTW, ED is such a great experience! I plan to do that eventually.

EDIT: clarification...I dont actually have ED but would like to experience it, wait....oh forget it!

Meh. I mean, quite frankly, this isn't something I think about that often when the plastic dash is molded to have a leather-like appearance in the first place. Strokes/folks I suppose. It's a good look but I struggle to justify the additional cost after I've been optioned to death for what should be basics in a luxury vehicle. Worth noting I had a "soft dash" with faux French stitch in my 2012 VW CC which with every option available was still about $15k less than my moderately optioned F36.

Looking at replacing my S4 with the 335i M sport (or 340i if the time line works). Also considering the M3 ED, if the price makes sense.

One of my biggest reservations about the 335i interior (and one of the reasons for picking the S4 over it a couple of years ago) was the quality of the interior materials. The Nappa leather in the S4 feels so much nicer than the Dakota leather (feels like an outdoor basketball surface). Also the leather plastics feels less grainy and softer on the S4. The interior overall looks modern but the there are so many lines that the plastic is just that much harder to ignore.

I did not know about the leather dash option till I read this thread (new to BMW in general). I really like it and hope that it will be available to order. I am really hoping that it is available on the first gen 340i.

The other option would be to consider individual leather interior (since I don't like dakota leather). I might be willing to fork over the money for it. I saw a thread on gold brown interior someone ordered for their 435 and it looked amazing. Anyone know what i would cost to get that option. I didn't see an accurate price.

I am planning on leasing if that matters.

Leather dash really transforms the car. Without it the car just feels like a pedestrian $30k car.

I've recently come from an Audi S5 to a 428i and will say that in my opinion the Audi interior is far superior, not just in terms of fit finish and materials.
