Just put in an order for a 2012 328i in the Bay Area. Looked at the 2013 price guide and decided to get a 2012 instead since I didn't like the changes to the packages or increase in base price. My order is as follows:

2012 328i
Sport Line
Metallic Paint
Technology Package
Park Distance Control
Back Up Camera

Shopped my config to all the Bay Area dealers and got 2 of them to offer invoice of $39,730 (includes MACO and a training fee). On top of that, they let me apply the Team USA discount, so my total price before taxes is $38,730.

Ordered, there are no sportlines on any lot in the Bay Area. Dealer told me that the car will likely be here mid-July.

Try SF. The thing you have to keep in mind is that if you order, it wont get here until July which is when the 2013's come out. So technically, you'll be receiving the prior year model, but for me I'm fine with it.

<--- Bay Area as well and its tough to find a sport line right now, hence why I didn't get a 2012 F30.

Everyone should go to Michael B. of Mountainview BMW.

This one is a very interesting config which is below $40k. Can you really don't care no sunroof on a luxury car?

I have a sunroof on my current car and I never use it.

HIDs would be nice but you need the luxury pack for that and I don't want leather. I have 2 dogs, so leather would probably be a bad idea with them.

Only thing I really debated but didn't get was the premium sound pack. Was gonna get that buy it seems like a lot of people on the boards didn't seem to think it was with it..

That's great deal. Congrats.

Did you use any incentive (Drive for team USA?) to get this price? Do you mind sharing what dealership are you working with?

Yes, that's with the Drive for team USA incentive. Ordered in from a dealership in Texas.

Cool Just ordered @1500 below invoice

2012 328i
Metallic paint
Luxury line
Premium
Tech
Heated seats
Fold-down seat
Xenon

MSRP: $46,470
Invoice: $43,295 incl MACO/training ($580)
Paid: $42,795 ($500 below invoice) after shopping around to several area dealers over email
less $1000 team USA incentive...
= $41,795

Of course, I get to pay CA taxes on top of that, but I'm happy. From my perspective, MACO/training is BS, so I thought of it as more like paying $80 over invoice, but with the team USA incentive it's not a bad deal.

Considered ordering a 2013 as MSRP was very similar for the options I was considering, but dealer wouldn't go below $500 over invoice on the '13.
