Anyone had any issues with the front cigarette lighter/auxiliary outlet not working for certain plugs. I recently purchased a small tire inflator compressor and found that when I plug it into the front cigarette lighter outlet it does not get any power. The outlet itself is working as both the cigarette lighter and my BlackBerry charger work fine using the outlet. I plugged the tire inflator into another car and it worked, so there must be something with plug working with outlet on my car.

Unfortunately Canadian spec cars only come with this single outlet up front so there is other place to try plugging it into.

I used to have a similar problem with an iPhone adapter in a Ford Focus - the "pin" on the end wasn't long enough to reach the end of the socket.

I'm thinking that's the problem I'm having. I guess I'll have to return the compressor and try a different one.
