That's what I thought too but they said they didn't and just modified it. Either ways it has been reported to BMW Munich. The funny thing is the Sports Display would still max out to 320 hp on the screen. Looks like the torque was modified since it was barely reaching 300 ft-lb of torque. It also seemed slower to reach 245 km/h.

Just wondering, trying to look at a theory here. Trying to see if speed is a factor here. You said that you haven't had a problem yet, have you been able to drive your car at speeds of 130mph and higher? Like I've said in my prior posts the CEL only came on at speeds between 220-250 kph (130-150 mph). Thanks

After 1500 miles, 0 issues so far with it.

Speedometer, just to see what it takes from 100 to 200kmh. I remember that with 335i GT stock it takes 15"/16"...

Not bad, but start the video at a speed below 100kph, because it starts just a little over.
As far as I know, that time, with the big and "heavy" GT, is compatible with a MPPK.
Now I cannot check, but I remember a couple of videos where a 335i GT stock takes 15"/16".

Ok I will try again tomorrow. A lot of traffic this morning on the autobahn. It definitely looks like the new software does not have the MPPK bump in power and torque. Still trying to find a place to do a launch start.

BMW F34 335 GT 100-245 kph

Gio72, here you go. Luckily very light traffic this morning on the autobahn. It seems like the engine definitely had more power in reserve. I couldn't pass 245 kph, I still had two more gears to use......

More or less 14" in the 100/200: for me you've got the MPPK

hmmmm OK thanks man....but this doesn't explain why I am not getting the 335 ft-lb (450Nm) of torque. suppose to have 332 HP and 335 ft-lbs torque with MPPK.

This is a mistery... But if you compare your acceleration with the following video (of a stock 335i GT) it looks almost clear that you have the MPPK installed:

getting mine installed Thursday...

The car was delivered with it "missing". I hope the fun doesn't start there for me: I've been plagued with CELs and limp homes on my 2007 335i coupe and 2010 M3 coupe. Three strikes and BMW is out.

no you can't compare a 335i going in 11*C and another random 335i stock in 19*C
different roads.

Please, let's avoid exaggerations
I'm perfectly aware of the influence of climate condition on the car-performance, but I can assure you that they can be compared with only 8ºC of difference.
However all these comparison should be taken with caution, because you'll never know if a car is driven throught a downhill street, for example... I posted the second video just to give to our german friend an information about the expected performance of a stock 335i GT
And a 2 second gap on 100/200kph is quite important, imho...

thanks all for your comments and help with this...I truly appreciate it. It does confuse me a little that my car "seems" to be about 2 secs faster than the stock 335i GT which would kind of lean towards my car having the MPPK installed. Now if I can only solve why my torque is not what it's suppose to be with the MPPK (335 ft-lb/450Nm). Oh BTW I am American living/working in Germany and enjoying the Autobahns.

Mystery solved.....BMW told me that the software update I received removed the MPPK. The engineers are still trying to figure out what is causing the CEL at higher speeds.
