Earlier I went to go fill up as usual on a Sunday evening. Started the car and the horn went of... I thought I might of pressed it accidentally. Few minutes later the horn went off and stayed on constantly. The only way I could get it to stop was press it in.
I turned around and went back home, by then the horn stopped and hasn't beeped since. It works when I press it but the constant beep has gone. I now have an airbag/safety system message on the idrive. I called BMW emergency who advised they could only recovery the car this evening. They can send someone out tomorrow or I can take it to the dealer. Any ideas what I can/should do? I'm guessing the car is ok to drive (I've now filled up, but drove very cautiously)

But on a serious note, if your dealer is anything like mine they won’t have a courtesy car available for weeks, so if you need one then call out BMW Assist/Emergency Services and you’ll get your car looked at and a like for like rental car tomorrow.

Tech has now been and cleared the fault. He didn't know why it triggered.
The fault related to: Driver side airbag resistance too high. Started the car a few times and drove it - all fine now
