2014 4 Series Coupe German Pricelist
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I've tried to translate the document using google translate but unfortunately this makes the whole document useless. Maybe one of you knows a translator capable of preserving the layout. Last edited by Niels_S; 06-18-2013 at 04:21 PM.. |

From what I understand reading this document, the 435d will only have one single double output exhaust pipe on the left ? is that real ??
No more left/right exhaust pipe like on the 335d ? what a shame I don't understand why they made this change. (it's on page 7 : Auspuffendrohr doppelt mit Chromblende) |

Look like the Bimmerang can be colourmatched for free.
That and the removal of ///M's around the car will be the best-selling option on this board I pressume |

No doubt that's a marketing decision in order to leave the diesel separated double exhaust to the M Performance version (M440d?). But how many of those will they really sell compared to the more mainstream 435d?? By doing this they deprive the 435d buyers (who already signed a big cheque especially here in Europe) from the esthetic reward of having a separated exhaust like the 435i, just so that the M440d look even more upmarket... So they are downgrading the looks of the 435d to that of the 430d in order to push towards buying the M440d... Well I personally would rather downgrade my purchase and get a 430d instead Oh and why bundle the 435d with xDrive?? Where is BMW's "hallmark rear-wheel drive" gone? It's not like the drivetrain couldn't contain the torque, the 535d does not need xDrive. |

That's what I had thought, so I wonder if they plan to add it later, or if they have decided that the top of the line diesel 3 is AWD only now. Or maybe this limitation is just for Germany? I know that the 535d, 640d, and 740d can be had in RWD - can the the F30 335d (assuming it has launched already)?

I can't understand why BMW is changing the exhaust layout every new model!
For example look at the 320 or 420, they look ridiculous with that little single pipe on the left. It SUCKS! Now the 435d lose the twin exhaust that look so damn good on e92 and e90... bah. If i remember right even the f30 335d comes only with xdrive. Maybe the 8speed trasmission works better with AWD. Does the f10 535d comes with RWD? |

As first, I was saying to myself... poor Germans, stuck with a 19% tax.
Then I realized; we Canadians have a 14.975% tax (QC) over a 6.3% tax for out-of-Alena imports.... |

Instead of downgrading the 435d towards the 430d, they would better have left the separated exhaust like on the 435i, which is logical since 435d is the equivalent of 435i. The M440d will have its own esthetic details to distinguish it from an M Sport 435d anyway. |

You will surely be able to add a dual tailpipe set-up if you desire after-market. At a time when cars continue to get bigger and heavier I quite prefer the lighter single pipe set-up from the factory. And as jlstyle mentions there is likely some technical aspects in the engine tuning that made more sense with a single pipe set-up.

Not sure if typo, but the msport wheel specs are:
18x8 and 18x9 19x8 and 19x8.5 The 18in rear are wider than the 19in, which is opposite of the current generation. |

I think that they didn't have the "enthusiast"/"guy who gives a fuck about his BMW looks/performance, and not only that it is a BMW..." in mind.
They already where idiot to make the 35d with an auto-box only, but a least there was the 30d with plenty of HP and a proper manual, but now, not only is the 35d xDrive only, but the 30d is automatic only! Not even to mention the situation that no separate double exhaust on the 35d, and the fuggly single exhaust on the 20d. That means if, due to personal preference or government regulations, you are "forced" to get a diesel, and want a manual, you are stuck with the 20d. I'm sure they will be bringing the 25d as well (if they don't that will be another cock up) but a 6-cyl 30d is a diferent thing all together! |

Can anyone tell me if the moonroof is still an option on the 428, either in the sport or the M-Sport edition. I know that it is stand on the previous 335 coupe with a delete option.
As for pricing for the options, which one most closely represent the prices here in the US |

To get at least something positive out the price list (non adaptive) Xenon is still standard equipment!
There's also some new things standard: -leather sport stearing wheel -bluetooth including usb audio -greyband windscreen -17" wheels -electrical sport seats for 435i and 435d I quickly configured a F30 320i and E92 335i with this options that are standard on the F32 to see what the real difference in price is. To my surprise the the F32 costs only about 400€ more than the equally equipped F30 and E92. |
