BMW CPO Warranty

I have a CPO BMW F30 with 49,500 miles. With just 500 more miles until the 4 yr/50k miles warranty expires, what does my 2 yr/50k miles warranty cover? Is it a power train warranty that covers engine, transmission, etc.? What doesn't it cover?

Doesn't cover hid headlights and related components nor does it cover navi, nor rattles, nor hoses in engine. Among some other stuff also not covered.

edit: looks like this may be obsolete or otherwise incorrect information.

Yes.

I'm not 100% sure of this, but I think it would cover mechanical components of the headlights. Like if a levelling arm broke, I think it would cover that. But a failed ballast wouldn't be covered.

Yep. These are normal wear and tear items.

headlight electronics and the navigation are not wear and tear items. They are exclusions that bmw puts in to make the cpo coverage an acceptable risk to them.

That's interesting. I hadn't seen this new version. In the past the radio and iDrive were specifically excluded.

That's the first time I've seen that document

It says "There are various items that are not covered by these warranties for enrolled vehicles retailed on or after January 1, 2014". So what happens if a person was considering a 2013 CPO like this one:

http://crm.bmw.ca/en-ca/PreOwned/Sea...etail/J899152#

The document pertains to cars enrolled in the cpo program by Jan 1, 2014. Not when they were made or originally sold or the model year. Also, you're in Canadia, this is the bmw usa document. I would assume there are differences. Yours may exclude maple syrup damage. Ours excludes gun fire damage.

Actually, here's the link to the Canada CPO program. it seems more confusing.

Of course they are. Autos are a harsh operating environment for electronics.

This is true, but you're still wrong, those are not wear and or tear items. By your logic, every part of the car is a wear and tear item.

After careful research of the facts, I can see why :

Canada:

USA:

...and Maple Syrup:
