Is this a good deal

Hi All
My wife is set on this 328 GT, going from X3. I am a deal hunter, having paid only $500 above EU Invoice for my M4. We wanted to do ED, but no time, so here is the deal I got, and wonder if any of you can chime in as to whether I should squeeze for more (note, I have bought 6 cars from this dealer and have a good relationship).
2015 328 GT, Sport Line
Premium pkg
Technology pkg
Sriver assistance
Heated seats
Side/Top cameras
Lighting

MSRP- $54,300
Get 6.5% Deal offer $52000

I know I can get close to 14% off for ED... Thanks for your advise and comments.

Thats about what I got off my factory order (it was something like 7% before incentives, 10% after). Its not bad, but you may be able to do better. Go to Truecar.com and build it exactly the way its setup. Thats the price you're shooting for. My dealer matched it, no questions asked. Any good dealer should, because if they won't, you can just buy it through TrueCar.

I don't think I'd buy a GT new right now unless it was basically US invoice (especially a 328)...So ~$50.5K for your options. The 2015 GT really isn't any different than the 2014s, so if brand new isn't a requirement I may suggest seeing what is out there CPO. These are not really popular cars and there's no shortage of 328 GTs out there...I think you could find a lightly used similarly optioned CPO for 10+% less than the 50-52K you are looking at new...For instance: Here's a red M-Sport w/ 4200 miles in NC (only missing side/top cameras from your options list, plus has alarm and HK). -- Also, there's a CPO "Preowned Elite" 0.9% + one payment financing deal going on right now...

BTW..Congrats on the M4!

Don't forget though, if you buy used, anything was originally registered after 7/14 does NOT have free maintenance any more. Only original owners get it. That alone makes it worth buying new IMO.

Wow I didn't know about that..a new low for BMW.

Regardless...he'd still come out ahead if he's saving $6K and gaining an extra year and 25K miles on the warranty. IMO, the 50K maintenance really isn't worth much on a 3er unless you are tracking and burning through brakes. Dude has an M4...so doubt the GT is going to sniff a track. I'd guess the majority of 3ers probably have under $1.5K of maintenance through the first 50k miles because the only scheduled maintenance is fluid changes, drop-in filter replacements, and a plug change. Most of the higher maintenance costs come after 50K miles: plugs, brakes, belts, o2 sensors, etc.

I've had all that stuff changed on my past 2 BMWs long before 50k. The brakes were changed multiple times on the X5 actually, front and rear pads, front rotors once, rears twice. 750 had the brakes done too. Both also had the plugs changed under the maintenance plan. The X5 had plugs and coils done at just over 30k. Both cars had the O2 sensors changed, brake and coolant flushes, and god only knows what else was covered. My dealer is really anal when BMW is paying the bill.

Do double check that one with your dealer and see if they can cut you a deal and include their BMW Service Inclusive if you choose to go Approved Used.

Maintenance thing may be US only. The info is on BMWUSA.com and not just BMW.com like the worldwide stuff. Also looks like the updated it to 2015 and later vehicles, so an earlier car may be okay.

Thx a lot guys for the replies. My wife does not want the hassle of CPO and all the grey area of warranties as her X3 just was quoted withso much to do because she forgot a thy just before it went out of warranty at 50k.

I'm actually looking to do ED as BMW is willing to squeeze me in for Mar 11. If that is the case, I will get my usual Eu invoice+$500 which I got even on my M4. In that case the price will be down to about $47k or so. I won't complain. My SA is great as I sent 8 more sales to them after my M4 and they do not want to lose me and my wife as customers as repeat business is good for business.

Now on to planning the quick ED which is pick up in the morning, drop off in the afternoon and fly out the. Next day. We have done this 4 times already so the driving part is not much a priority. Besides we are there on business during that time so cost of travel towards the car is pretty much nil.

Will keep you guys posted. Thx again.
pS: I have not taken my M4 to any track yet. I only have 3400 miles since August. Pity I know.

Not that weird. Their prices seem to change daily. If you get lucky, catch it on a good day and lock it in, you can save money.
