Burnt reflector at parking light?
I've had the parking lights changed over to led pretty much since I've owned the car (bought brand new last march) I bought the adapters from jdmtoy and have been using the Sylvania 194 led bulbs most of the time I've had them in. I just noticed this tonight though, has anyone else who have put the LED bulbs in the parking lights had this happen? (I just put the factory ones back in tonight)

Sylvania are a respectable company, I'd be surprised if they sold anything with a higher power consumption than stock. What are the LEDs (bulbs) specifically and where did you get them?
I suspect you have multiple LED chips in a housing that has a wattage higher than standard, therefore heat output is higher and has burnt your housing. If that's the case, you're pretty lucky it just did that instead of frying the wiring or FEM tbh. |

From what I can tell, it's only one bulb/chip. I have these bulbs in a lot of other things as well, and no issues from what I can tell. It might just be the metal ring that's around the base of the actual lense that's getting hot since I do a lot of my driving at night.
I was, however, using the in line load resistors that ijdmtoy sell that changes the standard H6W bulb over to that of the 194 wedge type bulb |
