Questions about retrofitting an F80 front bumper on F30
So I have heard great things about Selma on eBay and I just saw they have the F80 front bumper with PDC for sale. Just a couple questions
1) Has anyone purchased this bumper and had it installed? Is the fitment flush? The reviews of their products all point to their quality being great and fitment as well, but I've had terrible experience with eBay purchases. 2) my car has PDC+camera, so I am assuming that the shop I take it to will have to drill holes for the camera. Has anyone had experience with this and have any advice if I purchase this bumper? 3) About how much should a paint job cost? Just an approximation |

Did purchase their bumper (M Sport), and the fit is almost perfect, I'd say 95% like the original.
The 5% is for around the front grille, and on the tip of the bumper (over the front lights on both sides), his bumper is a little bit rounder. But that's it. I even got it installed by a local BMW body shop (since the sides and rear were OE BMW parts), and they were impressed with the quality of the bumper. The only point he mentioned (since he knows that I'm very picky) are those 2 things. But I can live with that, seeing that I saved 500$ over the OE parts. For paint job, I paid 600$ for the front (paint + install, lifetime warranty). I don't know the quality of their F80 bumper, but would guess that it should be on par with their F30 M Sport one.

Oh wow, that price sounds great especially since it's a BMW shop. I was quoted nearly $1000 from a local shop because they wanted to blend in the paint by painting the hood and the fenders
I was hoping they had an M sport bumper with PDC but I guess they are out. Thanks for the help! |

Selma
I purchased front and rear, my body shop said the fit and finish was just like OEM, everything lined up perfectly and the finish, meaning it was prepped and ready for painting. Couldnt be happier and saved nearly $1000 over OEM

I would find a different body shop. To repaint the hood and fenders to 'blend' is ridiculous. Don't have to do that. Happy Selma customer here as well. |
