I got a 2014 335i and I get a warning saying the driver side front door is open when it isn’t actually open. Randomly when I’m driving the doors will unlock and lock and it drives me absolutely nuts. I figured it’s a dirty sensor in the door or something so I cleaned what I could and it hasn’t solved it yet. Any suggestions?

Not sure what or where the sensor/switch is for the door, but cleaning/lubing is a good idea.

My next guess would be a wire in the loom from body to door has failed due to metal fatigue. The break might likely be hidden inside the insulation where the loom bends...you could check continuity if you know how.

Hey did you find a fix? The same thing happened to me and I pulled the door pannel off and couldn't find any issues....pretty lost at this point!
