Car pulling to left
Hi all. I have a BMW f30 with about 15k miles on it. Despite a wheel alignment (see below) the car is still pulling to the left. It has four good quality tyres on it (Goodyear Eagle F1 RFT's with no sign of uneven wear).
The guy who did it tells me that the car has almost perfect alignment now and should the problem persist then to swap the front tyres over. I have done this but the car is still pulling to the left. This (unsurprisingly) seems more pronounced on roads that are crowned to the left however on a road that is crowed to the right the car goes straight (does no pull to right. I am constantly having to make minor adjustments to the wheel to keep the car in lane. The steering wheel has a tendency to sit just to the left of centre if you let go of it. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks Before View post on imgur.com After View post on imgur.com Last edited by medlyleeds; 07-06-2018 at 08:05 PM.. |

Mine does this too, despite three, 4 wheel alignments. The third time, BMW replaced both front tyres, both front top mounts, o/s front wheel bearing and got their master tech to complete the alignment.
Massive improvement to steering feel and my knocking is gone but it still pulls to left, like it's centred slightly to the left, if that makes sense. On mine, it seems intermittent though, like sometimes it's off, then 2 seconds later, it pulls straight. Almost like a bump is knocking something out of line, then another bump knocks it back again. |

It's a long shot but inspecting all suspension components (everything must be torqued to specs) and wheel bearings would be worthwhile.
