You can get the mac address off the unit itself in the upper left portion of your engine bay... they also put a dinan info sticker in my drivers side door jam with the mac address on it when I had mine installed at the dealer.
Would you be pissed if they didn't put the DINAN sticker on your door jam? Cuz there is none on mine

Yeah, they ended up apologizing and stated that the technician 'forgot' to give me the stickers and he also forgot to stick one on the door jam... So I'm going to pick them up from the dealership tomorrow.

320i Stage 1

Just had my N20 Dinan'd over at Crevier, and can answer any questions from peple looking at taking the very expensive - but warranty-preserving (and post-limp mode headache-preventing) - plunge!

DINAN 428i N26 question

Does anyone here with a 428i have the n26 engine with dinan tune?
i just found out i have the n26 and id like to hear some feedback on how you guys like it!
looking to get it the tune soon and pretty stoked.
and is it true that the n26 produces less power than the n20?

I have a new 328i xdrive with the N26. Will the Stage 1 tune give HP/Torque increase throughout the power band or is it more of a high rpm power increase?

Increases are throughout the power band. You can find the powerchart on the product page HERE but in general you are looking at a consistent 30 HP / 35 TRQ increase across the rev range from 2500 RPM up on the N26.

Thanks good to know. Thinking about adding it now to take full advantage of the 4/50 warranty. Is the tune associated with the mode of the transmission (sport, comfort, eco) in any way or is it in effect regardless of the trans mode?

In effect regardless of transmission mode. Additional power is much more evident in Sport/Sport+ however given the nature of those setting however.

No. The N26 has a much more restrictive cat but power output is the same overall.

My N26 baselined a 228-230hp stock...(240hp advertised at crank)...so they're a bit understated from BMW .

sweet. I just bought a CPO 328i m sport from there.
I really want to jump on the tune but I paid mark up for a CPO car + $2150 for an added year. So im under warranty until July 2020 (7 years total from new car 2013). Seems like a waste of money to throw away my CPO warranty by getting tuned.. Sucks because I could really use some more power..

Unless you're driving like you stole it 24/7 for months, I dont see much danger personally. The extra power is there when you want it...but if you're just cruising around town I doubt the danger is measurable. Just my 2cents.
