'13 F30 M Sport Line -- deal or no deal? :)
I'm about to order my first BMW -- the CA offered Invoice (Edmunds) + $300 for an M Sport line F30 (2013), with H/K sound system, sunroof, heated front seats, PDC, Navi, rear window shade, leatherette.
I haven't haggled yet, but it seems fair to me. What do you folks think? |

A dealer on here offered $1 over invoice on all orders. That sounds good. But that might be states away and we are talking $299 in savings lol.

Yea! I'll try to hack another $100 or so, but in the grand scheme of things it is inconsequential.
What bothers me is that the standard rear view mirror is not auto-dimming: a feature that my C230 coupe had 10 years ago. (Oh, the visors are non-extending either, but at least the windows are not that large lengthwise). |

I work near the Beltway (NE side).
So, I pulled the trigger and put in the order. Managed to get it to 44k which is supposedly $150 above invoice but belatedly I found out that the dealer sneaked in the "Processing Fee" of $200 which pissed me off (mostly at my not paying attention when I signed). Getting ready for 2nd half of October! Can hardly wait! @justinnum1: thanks for the info re: the auto-dimming mirror. One less reason to nag |

Took delivery today of my F30 328i MSport fully loaded except for driver assistance plus.
Technically I didnt order it. Started out as an email thread with the fleet manager of how I can spec a '13 328i MSport when 1 local dealer gave me major attitude and another simply didnt know what MSport was. That was back in June. He was kind enough to search for the price list to help price it out. I definitely "overspec'd" it, but he took a chance and ordered that for me without getting a real commitment from me. It all worked out. I ended up paying $500 over invoice before $1000 Olympic drive and $750 finance rebate. Pretty excited. I am in the SF Bay Area. |

Photo of new MSport
CA was nice enough to jump the gun and order it without any commitments from my part. That was like mid-late June.
Feature fancy and nice looking sporty car that cruises at 35MPG. Steering is a tad light for our taste compared to E90. But I am sure we will get used to it. Spent quite a bit more $ than expected on extended maintenance and warranty and tire/ wheel insurance $1800+$3200+$1000. But the ownership experience of the E90 tells me 1. everything will fail at 45k miles or so 2. brake jobs needed at 45k and 60k pays for extended maintenance 3. Run flat tires require payday loan when they hit a nail. Not sure if I had gotten decent deals on the above, but the $500 over inv (factoring in maco and training) before $750 and $1000 rebate was a sealed deal before I dealt w finance. I'm in the market for a new F30 Msport and was wondering if you remember the dealer in NJ offering $1 over invoice? The lowest I could find in MA was $1700 over invoice.. Thanks, |
