Get to drive 335is later this week...
I'll be in Europe this week driving the new 5 Series as part of the North American press launch. Also have the chance to log a few laps at Estoril in the E92 LCI 335is.
I'll be doing the usual driving impressions and photography, but curious if anyone here has special requests. Let me know...

Will definitely be driving the DCT. Very anxious to experience that with the N54.

I'd be interested in some solid facts about the car; coupled with photos, and a solid review.

I am mostly interested in how linear the response of the N55 is to the right foot in comparison to the N54.

I'd be interested in knowing if you think the new 5er feels "big" to drive. They seem to get longer and heavier with each iteration. Is this still a serious driver's car?

If you want to know how the dct feels in the n54-n55 drive the Z4...The DCT that is in the M3 is far better than the one found in the 3-series and Z4. Still shifts quick, but not as quick.

If you could take a gander at the engine bay and note how it compares to the current N54 bay+BMW Performance Power kit I'd appreciate it.
(Also perhaps a gander at the black exhaust tips and see if they are slip on covers on the existing tips or welded parts) Thanks

Would you elaborate? I thought I read through all the upgrades and whatnot, and it said that the 335 engine would now be the N55?
Are they giving the N55 to the LCI versions, but not the 335iS? Wasn't the 335is going to be included in the LCI changes? Sorry, not trying to jack, just want clarification.

Regarding the e92/e93 LCI models, The standard 335i will change to the N55. However, BMW is adding a "s" model to the line up, the 335iS and it will keep the N54 but have increased horsepower. |

1) Takes pictures, lots of them, from every possible angle! I want to see how the front bumper looks without the fog lights.
2) Note the engine sound and exhaust sound compared to a normal 335i, or even an M3!! |
