Debadging - done at factory or dealership?

My 328 is already in production, but I am kind of thinking about debadging (not because I want people to think I'm rocking a 335, but because I think it looks good). Who does the debadge? Factory or dealer? Can I ask my dealer to debadge for me? Is it too late?

Thanks in advance!

Option 320 Model Designation Deleted - a free option, debadges at the factory. Debadging in Germany is very well accepted. Best guesstimate is around 50% BMW's debadged.

It's not a US option on the F30 currently.

It took 2 minutes at most to debadge.

Heat source + Floss / Fishing line + Clay bar to clean up residue.

I've got 320 Model Designation Deleted on my order via Military Sales, which is a US spec vehicle. If they can put it in here, why not on US based orders?

You sure it's a US spec vehicle? I don't think BMW offers the 320 here in the US.

320 is the option code to debadge, not the vehicle model.

Did you buy from K'Town or Ramstein? I agree- if we can get a U.S. spec vehicle with the 320 option why can't they do it in the States. By the same token though there are options available in the States that we can't get through PCS.

I went through Ramstein.

Not sure what stateside options that we can't get. Unless your talking about US warranty, satellite radio, assist, etc. You'll only get those when you return to the state and register through BMWNA.

After I placed my order, I wondered what hassles there would be to purchase a Euro spec with a VAT and import that on my return.

I also did option 320 on a US Spec F30 (diplomatic/mil sales) here in Belgium as most here are also debadged. There were no US spec options unavailable for my order. Curious to know what those would be?
