Muffler delete drone?

I'm thinking about doing a muffler delete on my N20, but I don't know how bad the drone will be. I've never been in a car with a drowning exhaust so I don't know how annoying it is. For those of you who did a muffler delete, how is the drone, and at what rev ranges do you get the drone?

I did it today and I love it. I was a bit worried doing it but it sounds great. Not to loud, just perfect to me

Sounds good. Did you notice any drone?

Yeah but it's not terribly loud. There's a post like 1 or so below this post called quad muffler delete. There's a video on there how it sounds. The video is from someone else but sounds similar

How much does it vibrate the car? I've heard cases where the drone is so loud to the point where listening to music or talking to passengers is impossible. It's a 4 cylinder so I don't think it'll be that loud, but I don't know how my parents will react to it.

Nowhere near that loud, those people are exaggerating. I'm running a catless downpipe (which people love to exaggerate about the smell also...) and its really not bad. Some drone and slight vibrations, really more like 1800-2800 but you can easily hear music and passengers. I am pretty much never out of sport+ which helps keep me out of that rpm range....in comfort it is pretty bad though as you always seem to be around 2k.

A critical point that a lot of people don't discuss is exhaust tip position. If it's too close to the edge of the bumper, you'll get more noise in the trunk that'll feed into the cabin. Just make sure it's sticking out at least 1/2" or so to make sure the exhaust is dumping as much sound out the rear as possible.

Thanks everyone for the help. I ended up pulling the trigger on a muffler delete a couple days ago. Just went on a road trip with it and drone is hardly there, it's just exhaust noise. In low RPM's it sounds like an S55 engine lmao
