Hi guys,

I was told by a few people, and research, that this was not possible. So I did some digging of my own through all the codes in my car, and I have successfully coded the ability to browse tracks and play lists over Bluetooth in my f30 335i (cic not nbt).

You need to have or code enhanced bluetooth first. Then I coded "AVRCP_BROWSING_EIN_AUS" to aktiv. This can be found under 3004 Bluetooth parameter in CMB_MEDIA.

This works with my Samsung galaxy s6 edge. I will check with old lady's iPhone 5s and report back.

I am noticing that it takes a while for the cic hu to generate all the tracks in the play list..

That's awesome. I gotta try that on my HU_ENTRY. Do you know if there is a way to get Album Art now? Also are you able to scroll to the next song in the KOMBI now?

I can no longer choose the next track using the steering wheel control and see it on my HUD (kombi for non HUD I think).

I am sure it can be coded in.. Same for album art. I need to keep digging.

So I tried coding this but it did not seem to work. I just get the usual 2 arrow buttons. When the playlists are loading do you see the playlist icon grayed out? Maybe this isn't possible on HU_ENTRY

I just tried this with my HU_CIC. Doesn't seem to work with my iPhone 5S. Did you do anything else besides that one coding change?

Nope just that code. Doesn't work with our iPhone 5 either. So far only my galaxy s6 edge.

It may have something to do with the avrcp level of the phone?

I tried my iPod touch 5th gen, doesn't work either.

Big difference between the Galaxy S6 and most of the phones we've tried on this list is the Bluetooth level. The Galaxy S6 has v4.1 while most of the mentioned devices have v4.0. Not sure what the difference is but it seems to be the main difference.

Will report back once I pick-up the iPhone 6S, which has Bluetooth v4.2

You need the combox to get album artwork or to stream bluetooth audio.

And the verdict is...

It doesn't work. Maybe there's some other coding that I missed.

Keep in mind, my F30 comes equipped with BMW Assist, though not sure how that affects the combox.
