Just had this set installed on my car, and I must say I am quite shocked at how stiff the car is now; no exaggeration it feels 2-3x more stiff than stock m-sport.

Note: I do have mismatched wheels / summer tires, and do need an alignment, but it is very stiff.

The body roll is indeed gone which is quite nice.
Hopefully once i put back my All season tires and get a proper alignment the ride will be more bearable. But for now, i think the suspension did more bad then good, hopefully things change...

Maybe it is because you only paid $300 for the install.

I'm on 19" staggered, summer RFTs and I love the MPS. My wife loves the upgrade too.

In all seriousness, you may want to get it checked out for an incorrect install because it should do more bad than good.

on nice roads it seems fine, on bumpy roads it isn't very stiff for you?

I felt the same way too initially. However over time the bumps feel no longer that harsh. Either the springs have "settled in" a bit or perhaps I've got used to it. But whatever it is, I'm simply enjoying the car so much more now. If it continues to bother you too much even after a few weeks, try getting rid of the RFTs.

Yeah, do that, but keep your expectations realistic -- this car is never going to ride like a big lexus

Irvine and Newport Beach? Indeed. The 110 going toward LA? Not so much. I have driven on smooth and rough without any noticeable issues.

A coworker whom drives a 2008 328xi mentioned that my car drove very smooth. Thought it would have been too much with the MPS.

lucky you.. a lot of construction on the roads constantly going on around here in the NYC area

you got me worried that the install was done incorrectly! damn, wonder if there is somebody with a MPS around my area that i can compare the ride with

Ride was rough for me too. I switched to non-rft and light wheels and problem resolved. Though not sure which fixed it. There's another thread discussing this. I'd link u but i'm using the app..search my posts if your interested in the physics of lightweight wheels lol.

so i just put back my old wheels that i got refinished,
lightweight alfugen cs7s with all season continentals.

must say the ride is much better, quite happy now =]

It's likely the RFT's roughing up the ride a bit. With that said, I like stiffer riding vehicles.

the car is completely different now, driving it definitely wakes me up now. its no longer buttery smooth as before, but i like it now, maybe my passengers wont like it but screw them!

Glad it worked out for you. As I mentioned, I kept my 19 RFTs and my passengers have not had any issues. So, your passengers should be fine!

The difference I feel after the install is that I actually have to slow down for the small speed bumps and road irregularities now. As long as I take the bumps at the correct speed, it's all good.

But then when I get on a freeway ramp or a nice road surface (preferably with curves) the car comes into its own!

The install is definitely worth it IMHO. It's what makes the car actually enjoyable.

Ironically my passengers (both family and colleagues) seem to prefer it after the install. I guess they don't like the floaty feeling of the stock suspension.

I have been thinking abt doing this, but I have 2 kids and this is our DD. Do u think it will be too harsh for the kids? Im running on 18's with RFT and don't want change them.

honestly its really subjective. i do feel the suspension has softened up over the past week. initially with RFTS it was very rough. I have continental dws and they are known to be soft tires so maybe that is why i believe my ride is nice now.

the RFTs might be too harsh, but some on here say its just nice, all depends on the roads in your area as well.
