Kingston,

P indicates it was built in Regensburg. I'm still waiting to hear what the 5 stands for too.

I work for BMW, so if you guys have an order i can check online, but to be honest i think my system only allows British cars etc but might do some investigation today to search for european cars. Post your order number or chassis...

they must have updated the owner's circle tracking script because it now shows my car with all the options i ordered. this thread says it'd never show it, only the model and color.

i'm at "awaiting transport" stage, god knows how long it will take them to give me some kind of tracking information...

Yeah, I noticed that mine updated the options a couple of weeks ago. Also, mine did not update to "in route" until about 3 days after it got on a boat. The 800# is still stuck on "waiting for a shipping vessel" about 11 days later. Call your dealer, they can give you up to date info on what ship it's on and all that other stuff once it gets on a ship.

My car is still listed as "Awaiting Transit" on the 800 number. On the Owners Group website, it says "In Transit." My car is at the port of New York already. The ship (the Don Juan) has left the port of New York already. I'll have the car next week for sure. Call your dealer, they have better tracking tools at their disposal.

I was on the Don Juan Also. How log should it be at the VPC? My dealer said they place purchased cars ahead of unsold dealer stock cars.

The top of this post says 7 to 14 days. My dealer told me I should expect it to get here about 7 to 10 days after it gets to the VPC. I'm not sure how long they actually work on your car at the VPC, but I'm sure most of the time is spent waiting.

Kline...

Nathan, My 3 is on the water on a K line ship. Is it possible to track the vehicle shipment like on the W&W site (where you simply enter your VIN and click to search)? I found a registration form on the Kline site but it looks like it is set up for a company that is actually using their company to move product rather than an anxious BMW owner. LMK Rich

The Don Juan arrived in port on 11/30. My was on the transport to the dealer on Saturday, 12/3. It'll probably be at the dealer today, 12/5 (I'm in PA so it's not a long trip).
VERY fast turnaround.

I may have to ask you to do this, as I am not sure where else to turn for information. OC simply says "En Route", the 800 number says "In transit", as does my dealer. Further, my salesman doesn't know how to retrieve any additional information. BMWNA has given me two different "Reached POE" dates, so I don't know what to rely on, WW doesn't track using my VIN, so I'm lost!

All I know for sure is that my production was complete on the 22nd of November, and since I'm in Louisiana, it should be coming in thru Charleston. Any idea how to get any more information on this?

Thanks!

Contact your sales rep for the most update info re: you order. He/She can also provide you with the name of the ship your E90 is on if it is acutally in transit. According to Wallenius Wilhelmsen the last ship to leave Bremerhaven for Charleston departed on 11/28. There has not been another ship to depart for Charleston since then. The Courage is to depart on 12/08, but the date has already been changed 3 times.

Which I think I replied is BS. Obviously he is a slacker. Ask the New Car Sales Mgr., more than likely he is the one that placed the order anyways.

I don't want to get this guy mad - I tried calling another dealership and asking the sales guy there, and he also claims not to know how to do that... Can any sales guy from any dealer look this up? I know they might not be motivated to do it, but maybe if I was reeeel nice.

i was able to track the shipment using my VIN with WW. you have to go to "cargo tracking" => "auto cargo" and enter your VIN there.

my car is on the courage, which is scheduled to arrive in nyc on the 19th and sc on the 24th. maybe your car is on the same ship. hopefully this will help you find it!

They can, but it is not a wise idea nor will they probably want to assist you since you are purchasing from another dealer. Who cares if you rep gets pissed? He/She is getting paid to do a job that they will be rated on. Sales also has CSI ratings.

Well, color me confused, because now OC says that my car is at the Prep Center (which, as I understand it, is in the US). I don't know how this is possible, given that my car was reported to have completed production on the 22nd, and reached port of exit on the 28th. None of those match the WW schedules... Anyway, I plan to call the 800 # tomorrow to see if they can tell me any more...

EDIT: Is it possible my East coast delivery was sent on Kline, despite the initial post saying I'd be on WW? It would line up with the dates...

More on the saga... the 800 states that once the car hits port of exit, they don't know anything further, and that it's up to OC or my dealer. My salesman today says all he can tell me is that it's "in transit", which is the same thing he told me 12/5.

<sigh> I guess I'll call the sales manager and see if there's any further information to be had...

This is really pathetic! It is fairly simple. All he/she has to do is log into the BMW DCS, go to vehicle inquiry, enter the production # and click on one of the various statuses. An example posted below.
