hi all 328 owners with 8 AT, does anybody have a clue as if to there's a "break in" period for the transmission when driving only in sport mode? i normally dnt use sport mode, but now that im running on 19s i tend to get on it alot for better shock absorbtion but the shifts feel out of wack. hopefully Im asking the ? right but it seems to me as if the gears take longer to shift when doing 40 n under in sport mode. I mean I know it tightens up the suspension a little and throttle response is improved but I hate cruising through an alley or 35 mph zone and it feels like I'm in 3d gear revving up to 3 rpm all the time. any how I was just wondering if someone else is experiencing this shift lag..

The break in period for the automatic transmission is 500 km (310 miles) and you should not rev more then 4500 rpm. When i choose sport mode or sport+ it shifts approximately around 4000 rpm, but shouldn't sport mode allow higher revs?

this may be a stupid question but as the saying goes, the stupid question is the only one not asked.

anyway, if the cars need to be broken in and one has to do a euro delivery or a pcd, don't you need to drive the car faster to enjoy it? I would not want to go to the nurburgring only to drive like a grandma. Just a question that has been lingering in my head because i really wanted to do an ED for the F30 but my son is still too small.

I was agreeing with you...but also pointing out that the poster may want to add something to the discussion as a means to increase the post count, rather than randomly posting rubbish to do so.
